Hundreds of high school students in South Africa unite in worship and sing ‘His Name is Yahweh’ during a morning assembly.
God wants us to have a childlike faith that trusts Him completely. Children approach Him with pure devotion, unburdened by tomorrow’s worries or today’s troubles.
When they worship God, they hold nothing back. They simply pour out their love, their trust, and their praise without wondering what others might think.
The students at Nyanga High School show us this beautiful, pure faith in action.
In the peaceful valley of Ngcobo town in South Africa’s rural Eastern Cape, students at Nyanga High School turned their morning assembly into a time of worship.
In the powerful video, hundreds of students stand in orderly rows in their school uniforms, with their heads bowed and eyes closed. Their young voices fill the air as Sikho Mlotywa, the Student Christian Organisation chairperson from grade 12, leads them in singing ‘His Name is Yahweh’.
The most amazing thing is how devoted these young students are in their worship. They stand with deep reverence, knowing they are in the presence of the Creator of the universe.
No one seems distracted or looking around. No student talks to another or loses focus from the moment of praise. Their worship flows pure and simple from their hearts.
They don’t have flashy lights, huge sound systems, or musical instruments, but we can clearly sense God’s presence among them as they sing.
The natural beauty of their school, surrounded by gentle hills, makes it feel as if hundreds of angels are singing praises to God in heaven.
Like these precious students at Nyanga High School, let us learn to worship God with childlike hearts. May we set aside our worries about tomorrow and bring Him our genuine praise today.
Let their example inspire us to worship God freely and fully, thanking Him for His endless love and faithfulness in our lives.
When we worship with such pure hearts, we experience the joy that comes from simply being in His presence.
