5 Facts About Heaven Many Don’t Know

Incredible Facts About Heaven

Facts about heaven

We have heard about heaven and we would love to go there. Things we have heard about it is that it is a beautiful place to be – it is a place that we will get to see Jesus and God Himself. Maybe we have questions that we want to ask Jesus when we get there. People do have that thought within them that they will ask Jesus some questions. What we have heard about Heaven is good – the opposite of heaven is hell, no one wants to go there and this makes us choose heaven but there are things that most people don’t know about heaven.

What we have heard about heaven are just the superficial facts about heaven that we could get from anyone’s mouth but there are deeper truths of heaven that are written in the bible that we must know also. So what are the facts about heaven that we need to know?

1. In heaven, there is no time.

Unlike the way things are here on earth that we live by time – we do things on time. Time is limited to the universe. In this same way, there is no night time, no morning or afternoon, everything remains as they are. What we call the sequence of an event on earth doesn’t exist in heaven. Revelation 10:6 “And sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:”

2. Heaven is not in this universe.

From what people always say about the location of heaven, they said heaven is located somewhere in the universe outside the planet earth. This claim is wrong. The bible had made it clear that the distance between earth and heaven is much. Psalm 103:11 “For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.” This shows that the place where heaven is far above the earth. The verse says, “for as heaven are high above the earth.” Another bible verse that shows that heaven is not in this universe is Ephesians 4:10 “He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, to fill the whole universe.)” Jesus ascended higher than all heavens. Looking at this very well, the plural heavens was used. The heavens here are the cloud that’s used. Since it’s “heavens” that must be all the known planets that exist. Jesus was lifted above all the planets – they all have clouds, the sky. So Jesus was raised above all of these which means it was not in this universe.

3. No more pain in Heaven.

This is something we will all be happy to hear. This recent world of ours, it has been plagued with diseases, sicknesses and so bad things that cause pains and tears. Revelation 21:4 “‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” This is a comforting message to people of the earth and many people don’t believe their pains will end but in heaven, there is no pain, for all pains will be ended and tears will flow no more.

4. The new heaven will come down from above.

Revelation 21:1 “Then I saw “new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.”

This is somehow confusing to most people. Since it is heaven why is not that we should go there and nit heaven coming down. God plans to do away with this earth, it will become the old earth. This earth will flee from the presence of God when the time comes. Revelation 20:11 “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.” After this, God will make his dwelling amongst men. Revelation 21:3.

5. It is where the believers who are dead go to.

What is believed by many people is that when one dies, the spirit stays on earth until the time of Judgment? The bible made it clear that those that are dead now, the believers, their body remains in the grave while their spirit ascends to heaven where they will stay till the second coming of Christ. This is why it was said in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 that, “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”

Also, in Revelation 6:10, we will see where the spirits of the dead in heaven were crying out to the Lord to avenge their blood but they were told to wait a little longer. This is an indication that when one dies as a believer, he goes to heaven where he stays till Jesus second coming.
