During these gloomy times of self-isolation and quarantine, an 18-year-old is bringing some much-needed cheer to millions with an adorable TikTok video starring his 76-year-old grandmother.
Lewis Leigh, a resident of the U.K., said he taught his grandma, Phyllis Leigh, or “Nan,” a viral dance from the video sharing app while maintaining social distancing.
“Everyone is just saying it’s a wholesome video,” Lewis said. “It’s upsetting because my grandmother lives on her own so the highlight of her week is when my family and I visit.”
Lewis has been maintaining space from his Nan amid the novel coronavirus crisis and was dropping off groceries to her before sharing the dance.
@lewisleighh so today I went to get my nans essential groceries and when I delivered them we made a tiktok lol ##fyp ##foryou ##nan ##uk ##grandma
“I did not expect her to pick it up so quick,” Lewis said. “I thought the exercise would be good for her.” So far the video has got over 4 million views on TikTok.
