4-Year-Old With Cerebral Palsy Taking First Steps On Her Own Will Make Your Day

4-year-old Maya has cerebral palsy, but she is taking her first steps on her own defying all odds. She was diagnosed with the condition when she was 1-year-old, and this is the first time she walks without the assistance of walker.

On 9th May, Maya underwent a major spinal surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). Doctors told the parents that it could take from six months to one year for Maya to walk on her own. But the brave girl proved them wrong as she could make it up just seven weeks after the surgery.

Her mother Anna captured this beautiful moment of “Mighty Miss Maya”, her family affectionately calls her, when she stood in her living room and began to walk on her own!

Verse of the Day

“[Praise to the God of All Comfort] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
