Young Woman Records Grandfather Every Time He Opens The Door And The Result Is So Adorable

Life is very unpredictable and no one knows how long they would be on the earth for. The Bible tells us in James 4:14- “Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”

This is so true especially for this woman from Methil, Scotland. Jen Barclay wrote on Twitter, “My wee Grandad, 87 years young, and he’s my no.1 guy.” Jen says, “I love him with all my heart, and I love recording his reactions when I come to visit. I hope everyone can appreciate the video I’ve made as much as I do.”

She shared a video where she is standing at her grandfather’s door and recorded his wide smile every time he opened the door for her. In fact in all the clips, the hunched elderly man answers the door with a cheery countenance, at times he is whistling, sometimes pretending he cannot recognize Barclay and at times giving her a grandfatherly kiss.

The endearing grandfather asks her in one clip, “What’s the password?” Barclay responds, “Please!” which worked perfectly.

In his last clip, he says, “Hello, honey bun!” He is thrilled to see his granddaughter. In fact he is overjoyed.

Barclay has tears in her eyes as she says that no matter the times she has seen the video of her grandpa opening the door, he has ‘so much love’ for her.

Social media users seemed to agree with her as more than 600,000 people have liked the video and more than 115,000 have retweeted it.

This reminds us of the importance of love in our lives and how much we should value our loved ones and shower them with love all throughout the year and not only during the holidays.

Verse of the Day

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”
