A young woman with Down syndrome named Georgia Knoll became an internet sensation after she photobombed a live news broadcast in Australia.
Scott Van Der Linden was doing a news report at a mall in Mackay when his camera person started laughing. Georgia had appeared behind him, smiling and fixing her hair and eyebrows for the camera. Unlike most people who interrupt live TV, Georgia brought pure happiness to the moment.
Van Der Linden welcomed this surprise guest with grace. He turned to Georgia and invited her to greet the viewers. Georgia stepped up right away, waved to the camera, and said, “Hi mom. Hi dad. Love ya!”

Georgia was already known in her town as an actress who performed at local events. The mayor of Mackay even wrote on Facebook, “She is indeed a natural superstar! Well done Georgia.” But her story didn’t end there.
In 2019, Jetstar Airways heard about Georgia’s dream to work on an airplane. They invited her to be a flight attendant for a day, making her the first person with Down syndrome to serve on their cabin crew.
