Genavieve Linkowski, a 26-year-old artist from Michigan, sings a powerful original song ‘Resurrection Song (Thank Jesus).’
The message of ‘Resurrection Song’ is all about finding freedom through Jesus. It talks about how Jesus paid for our sins on the cross and then rose from the dead.
The song reminds us that because of what Jesus did, we can move from death to life. It’s a song of thanks and praise to Jesus for His sacrifice that set us free. When you listen to it, you can’t help but feel grateful for God’s amazing gift of salvation.
Linkowski grew up in a small Michigan town as the oldest of eleven children. She trained in piano, violin, and harp from an early age. Her talent took her to American Idol at age 17, where she made it to the final round of Hollywood week.
Life wasn’t always easy, though. After losing her sister Corinn in a car accident, Linkowski returned to American Idol to share her story and reached the top forty.
Even through these tough times, Linkowski never wavered in her commitment to glorify God with her gift. Her Christian music covers and original songs have inspired countless listeners across the world.
In this performance, her powerful voice and the lyrics bring us to the feet of Jesus—the one who never sinned, but died for our sins.
“I pray that it glorifies God and encourages you as you listen,” Linkowski said about the song, which she co-wrote with her friends Zach Schossau and Joshua Brown.
