In Gallatin, Tennessee, the local police went above and beyond during a cold wave to help a 72-year-old with her heating problems.
This good news story began with a call to the Gallatin Police Department (GPD) about a broken heating system.
Sgt. Woodard from the GPD quickly formed a team. They got in touch with Wayne Counce, a firewood supplier. Counce generously gave firewood for free. The officers delivered it to the senior citizen, making sure she stayed warm.
But the kindness didn’t end there. Chris Alexander, who owns a HVAC business, saw the story on Facebook. He offered to help, fixed the heating issue, and got the woman’s heat back on.
This event shows the GPD’s dedication and Gallatin’s community spirit. It’s a reminder that a small kind act can greatly impact someone’s life.
God calls us to show kindness to those in need. When we have the means to help, let’s do so with generous hearts.
