Shayla and Thomas Harwell were attending a Bradbrave Paisley concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when they noticed a woman struggling to get to her seat.

Shayla’s husband is a firefighter for the Hardin Volunteer Fire Department north of Houston, Texas, and so Shayla pointed the elderly woman out to Thomas and asked him to help her out.

He said, “If you’re alive and breathing, you shouldn’t need an excuse to help someone else, if they need help, help them.”
