Sisters Sing Soul-Stirring Medley Of ‘The Prayer’ And ‘Savior Redeemer Of My Soul’

Elenyi sings a beautiful mashup of “The Prayer” and ‘Savior Redeemer of My Soul.’

‘The Prayer’ was written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa, and Tony Renis. It was originally recorded in two solo versions, in English by Celine Dion and in Italian by Andrea Bocelli.

The song won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1999 and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2000.

I pray you’ll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don’t know

Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we’ll be safe

‘Savior Redeemer of My Soul’ was written by Rob Gardner and was featured in the album Joseph Smith: The Prophet.

Savior, Redeemer of my soul,
Whose mighty hand hath made me whole,
Whose wondrous pow’r hath raised me up
And filled with sweet my bitter cup!
What tongue my gratitude can tell,
O gracious God of Israel.

Today, as Elenyi and friends come together to perform a medley of these two beautiful songs, we feel encouraged and uplifted by their music.
