An young man moved to tears when he met Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and a former professional wrestler, in a touching moment that quickly spread across social media.
The Rock met Marco in what looked like a chance encounter. Johnson, known for his big personality in wrestling and movies, greeted the young man warmly. “You’re my biggest fan?” Johnson asked, reaching out to shake Marco’s hand. This simple gesture turned into an emotional moment as Marco started to cry when meeting his hero.
Seeing how moved Marco was, Johnson didn’t hesitate to offer comfort. He gave Marco a warm hug.
During their short time together, Johnson asked Marco about himself. He asked about Marco’s school and reminded him how important education is, saying, “Keep up the great work in school.”
Johnson later shared the video of this meeting on Instagram. He wrote about why he disagrees with the saying “Never meet your heroes.” Johnson believes that famous people should use their position to be kind, especially to kids.
The actor then shared a story from his own childhood. He met boxing legend Muhammad Ali when he was young. Johnson said Ali put him on his lap and talked to him like he was the only kid in the world. This experience stayed with Johnson and likely shaped how he treats his own fans now.
Johnson is known for using his fame to spread positivity. He often shares similar fan meetings on social media, along with encouraging messages and glimpses of his personal life.
Johnson’s current work also shows he cares about telling stories that matter to many people. He told Marco he was working on a live-action version of ‘Moana,’ the Disney animated film. This movie, set to come out on July 10, 2026, will tell “the story of a young woman eager to pave her own path” while celebrating Pacific Islander culture.
