“He’s found a way to make himself understood. He’s very intelligent”-this particular dog is prudent enough to buy his food in the most dignified manner. Negro, the dog always brings a ‘leaf’ to buy himself treats at the store and his way of paying price for his meal is really amazing!
For the last five years the campus of Columbia’s Diversified Technical Education Institute of Monterrey Cesarean has been a home to a strong black dog named Negro. He serves there as guardian, keeping watch over things for students. In return, the dog is cared for by the school’s faculty who provide him with food, shelter and lots of love!
But the brilliant dog has apparently decided that anything beyond that is up to him. He learned about commerce at the nearby store where the students gather to buy things on their breaks. Sometime’s they’d buy him cookies with their money and the observant dog learned that it was necessary to “give something in exchange for the cookies” they feed him with.
“He would go to the store and watch the children give money and receive something in exchange, and then one day, spontaneous, he appeared with a leaf in his mouth, wagging his tail and letting it be known that he wanted a cookie.” One of the teacher Angela Garcia Bernal explained about his commercial startup!
That is how he has invented his own “currency leaf” to have his cookies. And watching him doing the same will astonish you! Such a clever and sweet dog! A great treat for all dog lovers!
