Quick Thinking Costco Employees Save Co-Worker After He Didn’t Show Up for Shift

A group of Costco employees in Cleveland, Ohio, have become heroes. Their quick thinking saved saved the life of a colleague.

The incident started when an employee missed his early shift. Concerned, his co-workers decided to check in. Jesse Orsborn, the Costco foods manager, said, “In situations where someone might oversleep for the early shift, we usually give them a friendly wake-up call.” This time, however, the call signaled a serious problem.

The employee’s speech was unclear, and the call suddenly ended. This alarmed the team. Dave Mackin, the assistant general manager, shared, “We started calling several times… It was evident that he was experiencing a medical emergency.”

It turned out the co-worker was having a stroke. The team kept him on the line while others called for emergency services. His quick transport to the hospital was crucial, and he was later released, though recovery awaited.

In this remarkable story, we see how God appoints His angels in our lives, often in the form of caring colleagues, to guard and rescue us from unforeseen trials. When we feel alone and helpless, let us remember that God is always orchestrating His perfect plan for our aid and protection.
