Because it was the same girl he rescued from icy waters six years ago. Sarah Thalhammer was 11, when she was dragged on to the frozen Great South Bay by a dog. The heroic police officer crawled onto the ice and pulled her to safety, risking his own life. Now it’s the moment of a lifetime for Sarah Thalhammer and the hero police officer.
