NYC Cleaning Woman Bursts Into Tears When Residents Gifts Her A Penthouse

A heartwarming video of residents in a high-rise surprising their cleaner with a unique gift has taken the internet by storm.

Cleaner Rosa has worked in the same building in New York for 20 years but lost her job due to the pandemic and had been living at her sister’s home with her family.

But still, Rosa would turn up to work every single day “with a giant smile on her face.” Residents of the building said she was like “family”.

The video says: “Everyone loves her. So, we decided to give back to the woman who gives so much to everyone. She has no idea. She’s about to get the penthouse.”

The clip shows Rosa being taken up the elevator to an apartment she thought she had to clean, but instead learned that the 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom penthouse was for her.

They head out to the roof terrace with fabulous views of New York City’s skyline and then she’s told, “I know a lot of people in this building are a big fan of you and they love you very much.

“You’re kind of a celebrity here, you’re very well-loved, and I know it’s been a tough year for you and your family and there’s been a lot of financial hardships. I have a contract here for a two-year lease on this unit that some of your fans knocked together. They’re taking care of it, all you have to do is sign and take the keys.”

The real estate agent tells Rosa that the residents have clubbed together to rent her the penthouse for two years and “everything has been taken care of.” She looks on in disbelief and bursts into tears saying “this isn’t real” as she is given the keys and the contract to the home.
