His mom, Brenda Page, was feeling very proud of her son for being chosen as the kindest kid in school.

Page said, “It touches my heart that he got it for kindness. It means more to me than straight A’s or perfect attendance.”

She said that her son wakes up with a smile on his face everyday. She asks how many people can say that their teenager is always happy?

Christopher joined special-needs classes at Mill Creek Middle School and will be in high school following his graduation celebration.

“He was so excited,” Page said. “He kept saying, ‘Mommy, I’m graduated!’”
