Massive Choir of 2,500 Sings Breathtaking Rendition of Hallelujah

2,500 people came together at Montreal’s Place des Arts to sing Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ in a moving tribute led by Choir! Choir! Choir! directors Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman.

Leonard Cohen wrote ‘Hallelujah’ in 1984, and though the song speaks of both earthly and divine love, its chorus rings with praise that touches hearts across faiths.

The evening at Salle Wilfrid Pelletier touched many hearts as Goldman and Adilman taught the crowd their parts for ‘Hallelujah.’

Since 2011, these Toronto musicians have led Choir! Choir! Choir! with open arms, inviting anyone who wants to sing to join them. They travel around the world to help people discover the gift of singing together.

Their choir breaks the old rules. You don’t need to audition or read music. You just need to want to sing.

This Montreal night meant even more because Leonard Cohen grew up in this city. “It was a perfect Montreal night… filled with so much emotion,” Choir! Choir! Choir! said about the event.

The sound of 2,500 voices filled the grand concert hall with perfect harmony. Each person learned their part, and together they brought Cohen’s song back to his hometown.

Choir! Choir! Choir! turns every show into a group sing along. They believe everyone can sing, and every voice adds to the beauty.

Even with such a big group, the directors helped everyone stay together, proving that when we work as one, we create something beautiful.
