Dr. Jane Goodall’s exemplary work with chimpanzees has been praised all over the world, and now as she releases the 15th chimpanzee into the wild on Tchindzoulou Island, it was a remarkable sight for all to see.
Chimpanzees have long been known to have human-like intelligence and are emotional creatures like human beings.
As she was releasing Wounda into the wild, she recalled the time when Wounda was almost dying, but through their efforts, the chimpanzee’s life was saved. It was one of the most extraordinary moments of Dr. Goodall’s life.
Social media went into meltdown when Wounda was seen hugging Dr. Goodall in the video. Although Jane had just met Wounda, their connection was there for all to see.
Love transcends all boundaries and physical characteristics. It is a God-given attribute in each of us to explore and share with one another.
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV)
