A sweet video from a surveillance camera shows two childhood friends in their 80s walking together. They’ve been best friends since they were little kids in kindergarten. Now, they’re still walking arm-in-arm and chatting happily as they go down the sidewalk in their neighborhood.
God gives us wonderful gifts, and true friendship is one of the best. It’s so special to have a friend who sticks with you through good times and bad, especially when you’re older. When we see these two ladies together, it reminds us how important it is to keep our friends close and how much joy that can bring us.
These two friends have known each other for over 80 years! Can you imagine all the things they’ve seen and done together? They probably played on the playground as little girls, helped each other through school, and shared stories about their families and jobs as they grew up. They’ve likely celebrated happy times together and comforted each other when things were tough.
In the video, we can see how close they still are. One lady is wearing a white top and blue pants, while her friend has on a pretty floral top with dark pants. They’re holding hands as they walk, helping each other along the way.
You can tell they’re having a nice talk – their faces look happy and they seem to be laughing together. Even though they’re in their 80s, you can still see that spark of fun they must have had as young girls.
This lovely scene makes us think about our own friendships. In today’s world, where we often talk to people through computers and phones, it’s so nice to see two friends spending time together face-to-face. It shows us how important it is to make time for our friends and to be there for each other in person.
The Bible tells us how valuable friendship is. In Ecclesiastes, it says that two people are better than one because they can help each other up if one falls down. These ladies are living proof of that. They’re supporting each other as they walk, just like they’ve probably supported each other through life’s ups and downs.
Seeing older people stay active and social is really encouraging. Doctors tell us that having good friends and staying connected with people is great for our health as we age. These two ladies show us that you’re never too old to enjoy time with a good friend.
