Chick-Fil-A Manager Fixes 96-Year-Old WWII Veteran’s Flat Tire

Chick-Fil-A is a company known to sell chicken with a side of God. It is one of the most successful food chains in the US and their employees are never shy to exhibit their Christian values. So when a manager at their Maryland outlet saw one of their regular customers needing help, he didn’t budge to help him.

Daryl Howard was busy taking orders at the Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Severn, when a 96-year-old WWII veteran, known as Mr. Lee, came up to him and told him he had a flat tire. “He was shaking, almost in tears saying he barely made it to the store on three tires because one was bad,” Rudy Somoza, another manager said.

Chick-fil-A Tire Change

Lee had managed to park his car, but needed someone to help change his flat tire. “As soon as he finished his sentence, Daryl informed me he needed to help this gentleman right now,” Somoza said. “So, Daryl jumped into action without hesitation.”

In 15 minutes, Howard had changed the tire, but did not know that Somoza was filming hi during the episode. Somoza said he’s worked with Howard about five years. “His action of kindness was beautiful. Daryl has always been so helpful to anyone in need and deserves this recognition,” Somoza said.

A thankful Lee again visited the restaurant later and was very thankful said Somoza. We admire what Howard from Chick-Fil-A did for the old gentlemen as he went above and beyond to help him.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
