Chick-fil-A Celebrates Beloved Customer’s 104th Birthday

Chick-fil-A honors its long time customer of 20 years by celebrating his 104th birthday, which was their 6th birthday together.

Chick-fil-A was founded in 1946 by S Truett Cathy- a devout Southern Baptist, specializing in chicken sandwiches. Its operations and management are heavily influenced by conservative Christian values. Business operations are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Often, their Christian stance on certain issues has caused controversies.

The Chick-fil-A located in Oldsmar, Florida celebrated the 104th birthday of Mr. Steve on the 8th of November. They have been celebrating Mr. Steve’s birthday together since he turned 99.

Mr. Steve had been coming in every morning until 2018, sat in the same booth, ordered the same breakfast and read the papers. This was his daily routine.

On his 100th birthday, they decided to go big. The centurion was featured in a Chick-fil-A commercial in New York City. He was also given a special booth and Chick-fil-A for life.

On the recent birthday celebrations, the restaurant wrote a Facebook post saying, “As we celebrated 104, we couldn’t help but feel immensely grateful for the opportunity to return even a portion of the love that he shares with our team, and for the bond that we have been able to build over the past six years of birthdays.”
