Dad Surprises 2-Year-Old Daughter With Princess Dress And Dance On Her Last Day Of Chemo

Our hearts are breaking when we think of what this sweet little two year old girl has been through battling cancer.

Chemotherapy is a grueling process for adults and when we think about its effects on small kids, all we can say is that the children enduring it must be the strongest.

Phoenix Thompson from Georgia is a brave little 2 year old girl has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia or blood cancer and has been undergoing harsh chemotherapy due to it.

Along with leukemia, Phoenix also has MDS, which is a group of conditions involving blood.

Her GoFundMe page says that those kids who have MDS, their bone marrow doesn’t work normally and that it makes abnormal blood cells and not enough blood cells.

Phoenix has four siblings and her parents, Brett and Christina Thompson really work hard to take care of her and their other children.

The family is trusting on the Lord and believe He is giving Phoenix the strength to fight this battle.

Phoenix has just completed the first round of chemotherapy and her dad wanted to celebrate that and decided to surprise her with something special.

Brett arrived at the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, all dressed up in a  suit and tie, and had a nurse take in a beautiful dress for Phoenix to get ready.

Christina captured Brett and their incredible baby girl sway to Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl.” She has posted the footage on social media and is garnering a lot of likes.

Little Phoenix’s fight with cancer is far from over but we know that she is surrounded by a loving family who are willing to support and stand by her till the battle ends.

Our prayers and best wishes are with little Phoenix and her wonderful family.

Verse of the Day

“Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.””
