Carrie Underwood Sings Beautiful Rendition Of ‘Just As I Am’

Carrie Underwood performed a beautiful rendition of the Christian hymn, ‘Just As I Am’ on NBC’s TODAY Show.

‘Just As I Am’ is featured on Carrie Underwood’s album of gospel hymns, titled ‘My Savior,’ which consists of covers of traditional gospel hymns.

The lyrics to the song was penned by Charlotte Elliott in 1835, and the music was composed by William Bradbury in 1849.

Just as I am, without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee
O Lamb of God, I come! I come

The song was popularized in the Billy Graham crusades as they used to always sing this song during the alter call when the people would come up to receive Christ as their Saviour.

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt
Fighting and fears within without
O Lamb of God, I come, I come

This rendition of ‘Just As I Am’ comes to us all in a time of so much doubt, it is a real blessing.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
