Candace Cameron Bure is calling attention to how the enemy uses guilt and past mistakes to keep us from walking boldly in God’s plan.
Many of us struggle with the weight of our past—bad choices, failures, painful memories that try to follow us into the present. But God has already offered us forgiveness through Christ.
Still, the devil will do anything to keep us looking back instead of stepping forward. Scripture reminds us that spiritual warfare is real. It’s not just about what we can see or feel—it’s also about unseen forces that try to derail our faith and purpose.
In a recent video clip shared online, Candace spoke about this ongoing battle. She explained how powerful it is to remember that the fight we face isn’t just in the physical world.
“It is so eye-opening when I remember, like, this is not just about my flesh and blood, the here and the now, what I can see and feel, and who I’m talking to in this moment,” she said. “But there are other greater things at work that I cannot see in the spiritual realm.”
Candace, known for her roles in family television and her outspoken faith, reminded viewers that the enemy doesn’t give up easily. “The enemy is always fighting for our soul,” she said. “And he’s poking at us from all different ways.”
She pointed out that one of the most common tactics used by the enemy is attacking us mentally—through lies that make us dwell on guilt and shame that God has already erased.
“He’s whispering lies into our minds to make us keep remembering things that God’s already forgiven us for,” she said.
It’s a powerful reminder that Satan will try to hold us in chains God already broke. We have to learn to silence those lies with the truth of God’s Word.
If you’re struggling with guilt or regret, hold on to what God says about you—not the enemy’s whispers. Don’t let past failures define your future.
When Jesus forgives, He removes sin completely. We are not meant to carry that weight anymore.
Through Christ, we are new creations. We are made whole and set free.
Keep your eyes forward, your heart steady, and your faith strong.
The enemy may accuse, but God always redeems.
