BYU Vocal Point, an all-male a cappella group, teamed up with singer Madilyn Paige to perform a stunning rendition of ‘The Prayer.’
‘The Prayer’ was written in 1999 by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager, Alberto Testa, and Tony Renis. The song asks God to watch over us and guide us through life. Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli first made it famous as a duet, and now BYU Vocal Point and Madilyn have given it their own special touch.
BYU Vocal Point started in 1991 at Brigham Young University in Utah. They became well-known when they competed on NBC’s “The Sing-Off” in 2011, making it to the Top 5.
Madilyn Paige was on Season 6 of The Voice in 2014, where she was on Team Usher and reached the Top 20.
In this video, the group sings ‘The Prayer’ without the accompaniment of any instruments. Using just their voices, they create amazing harmonies that give us chills.
The scenic backdrop of the snow-covered forest makes their performance even more beautiful.
