A 9-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after he saved the life of his younger sister during an armed carjacking at a gas station in Alabama.
The terrible ordeal happened when Ethan Walker was in the back seat of the car with his 6-year-old sister, Audrey, on Thursday in Moody.
While his mother, Kristin Walker, was putting gas into the car, a man suddenly got out of a nearby Chevrolet SUV and jumped into the front seat.
The pregnant mom says, “I actually jumped in on top of him and pulled the keys out of the ignition,’’ she said. But the man pulled a gun on her.
“At that moment, Ethan was very quick to jump out the car and go around, get his little sister out,” Kristin said. The suspect took off in the family’s vehicle the police said.

Police later tracked the two suspects, who were identified as 18-year-old Kendarian Toran and 23-year-old Eric White. They’re both in custody and charges will be filed against them later.
The police are planning to thank Ethan for an “incredible act of bravery.” His mom said, “He’s pretty excited about that and I’m so proud.’’ she added.
