In today’s world we have become so dependent on the power of medical science, that prayer and faith has taken a back seat for most people.
But, this story is a remarkable one because doctors are puzzled that this man’s suspected malignant brain tumor suddenly disappeared without surgery.
Paul Wood from Lodi, California first consulted his doctor back in early 2018 when he began experiencing headaches and had trouble walking without assistance.
“I had massive headaches, I couldn’t walk down the hallway without holding on to the walls.”
He was then referred to a neurosurgeon at UC San Francisco, where the doctors suspected that he had a brain bleed – but scans then revealed he had signs of a brain tumor.
Wood did not accept the diagnosis, but instead turned to his faith and community.
He is an active member of Gravity Church, where he received abundant prayers and encouragement from fellow congregants.
Jason McEachron, the pastor at Gravity Church, remarked on Wood’s unwavering faith throughout his ordeal. “He just kept saying, ‘no matter what happens to me, I’m going to be okay. I trust God,'”
On the day before his surgery, doctors were astonished to find that the suspected tumor had vanished.
“We do tests and we have medical technology and we try to come up with some conclusion. We’re like detectives – [but] sometimes things happen that we can’t explain,” Dr. Richard Yee said.
Now that the surgery has been cancelled, Wood says that “it’s a miracle and that is the way God planned it.”
This is nothing but divine intervention and it is the healing hand of God that is the reason behind the disappearance of the tumor. Praise God!
