Rock Star Pauses Concert and Speaks About Jesus’ Love to Thousands of People

Brad Arnold, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down, shared a powerful message about Jesus and faith during a recent concert at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania.

We often hear that we’re not good enough, strong enough, or beautiful enough. These ideas come at us from all sides – TV, social media, even our own thoughts sometimes. It can make us feel pretty low. But you know what? There’s a different message out there, one of hope and love. And that’s exactly what Brad Arnold wanted to share with his fans.

On August 23, before singing the band’s song ‘Away From the Sun’, Arnold took a moment to speak from his heart. He told the crowd that for the past two years, he’s felt a strong urge to share something important during his shows. “This world surrounds us with the message we’ll never be good enough,” he said. But he didn’t stop there. He went on to call out what he sees as a big lie in our culture – the idea that we’re never truly loved or that we can’t succeed.

Arnold’s words hit home for many in the audience. “My friends, I just want to take a second to tell you – that’s an absolute lie,” he declared. “You are loved. You are enough, and you will win.” The stadium, packed with thousands of fans, fell silent as he spoke. You could almost feel the weight of his words settling over the crowd.

But Arnold wasn’t done yet. He went straight to the heart of his message: “Not only can you win, but you will win. You’ll always be enough for one reason, and that’s because Jesus Christ loves you.” Now, it’s not every day you hear a rock star talking about Jesus at a concert. But Arnold spoke with such sincerity that even those who might not share his faith seemed to appreciate his honesty.

He talked about how we all mess up sometimes. “I failed all day today. You failed today,” he admitted. It was a reminder that nobody’s perfect, not even famous musicians. But then came the kicker: “But you’re still the one that Jesus loves.”

Then, Arnold did something unexpected. He asked the whole crowd to repeat after him: “I am the one that Jesus loves.” Can you imagine thousands of voices saying those words together? It must have been quite a sound. The audience responded with cheers and applause, clearly moved by Arnold’s words.

This wasn’t just a one-time thing for Arnold. Other videos and posts show he often shares his faith on stage. He’s not shy about it on social media either. Just recently, he posted a prayer for kids going back to school, along with a Bible verse from Deuteronomy. It’s clear that his faith is a big part of who he is, both on and off stage.

Now, it’s worth noting that 3 Doors Down isn’t officially a Christian band. Neither is Creed, another band that performed that night. But that didn’t stop Arnold from speaking openly about his beliefs. And interestingly, the crowd seemed to welcome it. There were no boos or complaints – just cheers and support.

Arnold’s message wasn’t just about faith, though. It was also about self-worth and hope. He talked about how Jesus made each person just the way they are. It was a reminder that we’re all unique and valuable, no matter what the world might say. In a time when so many people struggle with self-doubt, those words must have been comforting to hear.

The concert was part of the Summer of ’99 Tour, which features several popular rock bands from that era. While other performers, like Scott Stapp from Creed, talked a lot between songs, Arnold usually kept things short and sweet. He mostly stuck to thanking the crowd and blessing them. But when he did decide to speak up, his words clearly made an impact.
