A young boy and his grandpa danced their hearts out in a supermarket aisle the night before his surgery.
Five-year-old Kyu San Juan was born with AVM, a cerebral arteriovenous malformation.
His mother said that he has “a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. No one, not I, not Mark, nor the doctors knew that Kyu had an AVM until it ruptured on November 4, 2017, causing him to seizure and become incapacitated.”
But now his condition can be treated with surgery.
So, the night before his surgery, Kyu enlisted his grandpa to show some dance moves in a Festival Foods supermarket.
His grandpa was unsure about dancing in public. “Here? People are going to think we’re crazy! I thought we were going to a party or a club.”
But when he saw the empty aisles and the joy on Kyu’s face, he had to give in and join him.
The boy and grandpa danced around the freezer section with huge smiles on their faces, a video of which has gone viral.
His positive attitude and dance moves with his grandpa have become an inspiration for all those in a similar situation.
Thankfully, Kyu’s surgery went well, and doctors said it was even better than expected.
