Bob Wood, an 80-year-old guitarist from Nashville, surprised everyone with an amazing guitar solo at a local music store.
Bob Wood has played music for many years, but he came into the spotlight after a video of his impromptu performance went viral.
During his visit to the British Audio Service guitar shop in Nashville, Bob picked up an electric guitar and started playing an incredible riff. His skills amazed everyone in the store.
Shane Depew, a store employee, recorded Wood’s performance. The video went viral on social media, and on Facebook, the clip garnered more than 2.2 million views.
Wood’s daughter, Melanie Wood Moody, shared some facts about her father’s music career. She said Bob Wood had been part of the country music scene for a long time. In 1970, he became a regular performer at Jamboree USA in Wheeling, West Virginia, where he played for ten years.
In 1975 and 1976, Eastern States Country Music Inc. named him Entertainer of the Year. In 2007, he was inducted into the Southern Legends Country Music Hall of Fame.
Wood has recorded several albums during his career.
