The hymn was written and composed by Bill and Gloria Gaither in the late 1960s. At the time, they were expecting their third child and facing difficult circumstances.
God sent His Son

Gloria felt God’s presence clear away her fear and fill her with a calm assurance that only He can provide. She knew everything would be fine because God was in control.
