“Be still, my soul” was written by Katharina Von Schlegel in German and later translated to English by Jane Laurie Brothwick. The popular classic urges steadfastness and trust in God through life’s tumults.
The lyrics of the hymn are a balm, promising that, despite life’s trials, a joyful end awaits those who bear their struggles with patience and leave their worries in God’s hands.
The hymn concludes with a powerful reminder of God’s enduring presence and sovereignty, even amidst life’s storms—a message that the Mount Royal Kantorei has skillfully brought to life through their music.
