A one-year-old baby’s pure delight at seeing clearly through his new glasses has touched hearts across the world. His video reached more than 100 million views on TikTok and Instagram, spreading joy to viewers everywhere.
Stephanie Mazzone-Meyer captured the moment her son, Liam Frederick, put on his glasses for the first time. She posted the video on Instagram during a family road trip from New York to Wisconsin.
While she slept during their long 16-hour drive, the video took off online, hitting 75 million views within hours.
The video’s reach grew beyond borders, with TV stations in Italy, Chile, Spain, and the Netherlands sharing Liam’s story. His genuine reaction did more than just bring smiles – it pushed many parents to check their own children’s vision and book eye doctor visits when they noticed possible sight problems.
Liam’s story began with some early challenges. His scans before birth showed some concerns, leading to his early arrival and a three-week stay in the NICU.
His doctors suggested several tests after he left the hospital, including an eye check. His first visit showed minor farsightedness, but a later check-up made it clear he needed glasses right away.
Getting glasses changed everything for little Liam. His mom noticed he smiled more, grabbed things better, and played more actively. “He’s a completely different baby with his new specs,” she shared.
