Adorable Baby Can’t Stop Giggling When She Hears Mother and Sister’s Voices for the Very First Time

Scarlet was born three months premature, weighing almost 3 pounds. She developed necrotizing enterocolitis, and the antibiotics caused her to lose her hearing.

Since then, her parents have been doing everything they can to help her regain it. Finally, they were able to get hearing aids for their precious little girl.

This adorable moment captures 11-month-old Scarlet trying hearing aids and hearing her mother and sister’s voices for the first time, and her reaction is pure joy!

As everyone knows when Scarlet was born she was 3 months early. She ended up getting NEC (and certain stomach infection) and the antibiotics that she needed cause hearing loss. It has been a LONG and emotional experience. She reacted to most sounds so we thought she could hear fairly well. After what I witnessed today, it was not as well as I thought. Hearing aids make a WORLD of difference! I am so blessed and thankful for Atlanta Hearing Associates in Milledgeville for all that they have done for our baby girl. Anyway, enjoy one of the absolute best days of our lives. By the way, I’m crying, you’re crying, everyone is crying.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
