3 Sisters Beautifully Sing ‘Gloria (Angels We Have Heard On High)’

The three sisters of Hinge Point sing praises to worship the Lord Jesus with a beautiful rendition of ‘Gloria (Angels We Have Heard on High.’

Hinge Point

There is nothing more beautiful in the world than the thought of the angels worshiping the newborn baby Jesus more than 2000 years ago singing “Gloria.”

“Angels We Have Heard on High” is a Christmas carol to the hymn tune “Gloria” from a traditional French song called Les Anges dans nos campagnes, with paraphrased English lyrics by James Chadwick.

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains

The talented girls are aged between 14 -16 and state on their official YouTube channel that they “love singing together; something we have loved doing since we were little. Now, we are writing songs together too! We especially love singing about our Savior, Jesus Christ. We hope that you feel his love for you through our music!”

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly, sweetly through the night
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their brief delight

This song has to be one of our all-time favorite Christmas songs and to hear Hinge Point singing it in their own way today is so unique and beautiful.

We love their harmonies and voices, it reminds us of angels singing.

Verse of the Day

“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11
