Imagine meeting your favorite movie star and they perform just for you. That’s exactly what happened to a young fan named Abraham when Jack Black, the beloved actor and musician, gave him a personal serenade.
People often think Hollywood stars are distant and cold. But Jack Black’s kind act shows that’s not always true. In an Instagram video, Jack greets Abraham warmly. Jack, with his signature long, scruffy beard, knelt down to introduce himself to Abraham, who was in a wheelchair. “Hi, hello there. Hi Abraham, I’m Jack. Nice to meet you,” and shakes his hand.
Abraham loves ‘School of Rock.’ Jack does too. He tells Abraham, “That’s my favorite movie, thank you.” Then, Jack sings a song from the movie. He holds Abraham’s hand while singing, making the moment special. Abraham even sings along for a bit.
Jack ends their time together with a simple “nice to meet you” and “thank you.” This short interaction will likely stay with Abraham forever. It’s a perfect example of kindness in action.
The instagram video touched the hearts of many. One person wrote “He’s such a great person. It does my heart good to see things like this. Oh, and “School of Rock” is one of my all time favorite movies….! Great job Mr. Black. Thank you for what you do for these wonderful children…!!!” Another person wrote “Was never a fan of this guy until now.”
Let us remember to brighten the lives of others, just as God encourages us to do. A simple word or small gesture can make a huge difference. Let’s spread kindness and love, following His example.
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:16
