Lindsey Sorensen had taken her eight-year-old son, Miles, to the concert for his birthday. Miles has leukemia, and unfortunately, he began to feel sick after the concert. Mom, Lindsey, tried to find a cab back to their hotel but had no luck, and they were left stranded for 2 hours.

Thankfully, a Milwaukee police officer offered to help. The officer picked up Miles and Lindsey and gave them a ride back to their hotel, so that Miles could have his medicine and rest. The officer’s small act of kindness meant the world to the mother and her son.

The Milwaukee Police Department was quick to share the heartwarming story on Facebook and expressed their support for Miles as he continues to fight his illness.

“Biggest shout out to Milwaukee Police Department; they have the most amazing officers that go above and beyond! … [Officer Bronco] cleared his seats and gave us a ride back to our hotel! He even gave Miles a challenge coin, his gummy bears, and just was so, so kind to us! We are so, so grateful for all the police officers who helped us last night; thank you endlessly for keeping our little boy safe,” the grateful mother wrote.
