A 93-year-old woman named Sandra stunned onlookers when she sang for the first time in decades.

Sandra revealed she began singing at age seven on radio and was trained in opera. Her favorite memory was performing with her sister at the 1939 World’s Fair.

Shortly after that performance, tragedy struck when her sister died, leaving behind three children.

“And I gave up singing,” Sandra explained. “Because she left three children. Somebody had to take care of them.” Without hesitation, Sandra put aside her own dreams to raise her nieces and nephews.

Decades later, a chance encounter changed everything. Sandra spotted Reginald Guillaume, a guitarist, singer, and popular YouTuber who invites strangers to sing with him for free.

In this video, he holds a sign asking anyone to join him for singing when Sandra’s nephew wheeled her over to participate.

When offered this unexpected chance to sing again, Sandra chose ‘You’ll Never Know’ by Dorothy Lamour. Her voice, though aged by time, carried the emotion of decades.

After finishing, her face lit up with joy. “Oh, I feel wonderful! You’re all wonderful, and singing is happiness! Singing is wonderful!” she exclaimed.

Sandra’s story shows us it’s never too late to reclaim the gifts God gave us. Her voice was silent for years but never lost. Maybe there’s something in your life worth picking up again too.

Our talents, when shared, can bring healing not just to ourselves but to everyone around us.

Verse of the Day

“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”
