Most seven year old kids don’t even know how to comb their own hair talk-less of cutting someone else’s hair.
But not for this talented second grade student, 7-year-old Neijae Graham-Henries who has learned how to cut hair.
“The whole process is to finish it and do it really good and to, like, style it good,” said Neijae.
She became interested after tagging along with her older brother at the Junior Barber Academy in North Philadelphia to undergo training.
It turned out that he was not keen to train on hair cutting, but she was.
“When we came back home, she saw some of the information on social media and she said, ‘Mom, he doesn’t want to do it, I’ll give it a go,’” said Jamie Graham, Neijae’s mother.
Michael Boone, the owner of Junior Barber Academy, proudly says that Neijae is his youngest trainee.
“Neijae was 7 years old when she came through our program,” said Boone.
She even passed barber training school before she began second grade at just 7 years old. Now she is giving free haircuts to the neighborhood kids as part of community service.
“She wasn’t intimidated because she was the youngest student and she was not intimidated because she was the only female,” said Graham.
She is now gunning to cut one celebrity’s hair.
“Donald Trump, he has too much long hair, so I would cut it,” said Neijae.
