The little boy from Tasmania is being praised for his quick actions and his cool demeanor when paramedics arrived at the house.

When a person has a seizure, it can be quite an upsetting experience for family and near and dear ones, especially for little children.

But Monty was calm when he spoke to the person who received the call at Ambulance Tasmania and told them that his mummy had fallen to the ground during a seizure and that their family dog barked but was friendly.

The two paramedics attending to his mother, Wendy was amazed at how Monty knew exactly what to do and that he followed all the instructions so well.

“I’m so proud, he’s my little hero, he certainly has saved the day,” his mother, Wendy, said.

Wendy had prepared Monty for emergencies like this by teaching him how to unlock her phone and call 000 for emergencies.

“I think it’s really important that we do that and just tell them you should do it if you’re worried,” she said. “You never know, it could save a life.”
